School Safety
Our children, and those who are passing the torch of civilization to them—these are our nation’s most precious assets. They need to be protected.
In today’s world our teachers need to know how to protect their students. And sadly, our teachers need to know how to protect themselves, too.
A critical part of our mission is to equip our teachers and school administrators with defensive tactics to protect themselves and their students in a crisis.
911 Self Defense has created a pilot program to train education professionals what to do in the moments when nightmares turn into reality at school. We are currently working with Owen Kelly, the principal of John F. Kennedy High School and members of his faculty to prepare them to deal effectively with school violence, including these topics:
- Restraining kids in altercations
- Weapon defenses
- Use of force (i.e., the Force Continuum)
- Female teachers vs. large male students
